A message from the owner
You want only the best for those you love. Your priorities are to meet their needs and insure their health and safety. What if your job, personal obligations or geographical distance makes this priority an insurmountable task? My wife and I were in the same situation that you may be experiencing right now with your loved ones. We were faced with the dilemma of how to replace the life we had carved out for ourselves after over 30 years of marriage with the daily task of caring for our elderly parents. Figuring a way to do this was very difficult, to say the least. I wished there was a company that I could trust to offer a helping hand when I needed it most. That is why, in 2002, I opened Home Helpers in Sugar Land.
For more than a decade, Home Helpers Fort Bend has been providing quality non-medical, personal care, companionship for seniors seeking assistance, someone needing recuperative care, those with medical limitations and individuals requiring continuing care and others.
We are honored to support your loved ones to safely keep them in their home. Ron was inspired by the chance to provide much-needed service and to give back to the community. We are very proud of our team, and we have an unsurpassed reputation for quality and service in the area.
A Sample of Our Services:
- Home Management
- Personal Assistance
- Respite Care Services
We can assist as sitters in hospitals, nursing homes or other facilities where care and attention is needed in addition to what facility staff provides. Or at home, we offer conversation, reading or writing letters, sorting mail, playing cards or creating crafts. Our caregivers are considered companions to our clients. We can even accompany you while taking walks, running errands, shopping, making medical or dental appointments, or visiting friends and neighbors. Don’t feel able to vacation or visit children and grandchildren due to difficulty with packing, driving, or airline travel? Ask us about our Travel Companion Services!
Our caregivers perform light housekeeping tasks such as doing laundry; making beds and changing linens; cleaning the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and living room; sweeping and mopping; dusting and vacuuming. We assist our clients in organizing household routines, including planning and preparing meals.
Home Helpers caregivers provide the same care, concern and compassion a family member would.
We assist with the activities of daily living such as bathing and personal hygiene; toileting and continence management; dressing; grooming; shaving; hair care; transfer, ambulation and mobility; feeding; and we give reminders to take self-administered medication. Our caregivers have been trained to assist clients with Alzheimer’s Disease and/or Dementia. We strive to help these clients remain safe in their own home for as long as possible.
We provide much needed relief to family members who are the primary caregiver to their loved one. Whether care is recuperative or continuing we give primary caregivers a chance to enjoy dinner and a movie with family and friends, pamper themselves for a change at a spa or salon, or just take care of personal obligations that they have been neglecting. We can provide relief once a week, once a month, or whatever suits our client’s needs. We also have experience assisting families with loved ones who are at the conclusion of their lives in hospice care. For a few hours…or the whole day. One day a week… or every day.
Trusted, Experienced Caregiving
At Home Helpers, our experienced, dependable caregivers truly enjoy helping others. They are trustworthy, compassionate people who have been carefully selected and thoroughly screened. Unlike some other agencies that use subcontractors, our caregivers are employees who are bonded and insured. We do this to minimize any liability exposure to our clients.

It can be incredibly difficult when you live away from your loved ones and family, stated Ron who experienced arranging care for his parents to remain independent and age in place from a distance. “We want to be advocates for our clients and families and we treat our clients like we would want our own loved ones to be treated,” Ron explained.
